I am interested in starting my own GIS company. I have purchased GIS software, paid for my MSc. in GIS and bought a computer/peripheral devices. Now I have to get clients...unfortunately I am unsure how I will convince them that paying the ridiculous fees for Canadian Goverment data (that has been created with TAX DOLLARS) will benefit their organization. I have to pass along the cost of data to my future clients which will reduce potential profit margins for my company, and ultimately may prevent me from starting my own company...hmmm, maybe I should ask for my tax dollars back.
